This opal was previously used on a necklace until it split in the weakest spot. Given the owner wanted to salvage this rare and wide opal, they wanted it fixed onto a piece of leather. We were able to do this in such a manner it hid the break point and it's still a wearable piece for many years to come. Leather was dyed in a style to mimic the opal lutre.
